ISMUNHK is a local, student-led Model United Nations conference, supported by the Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and the UNESCO Glocal Peace Center. We aim to bring awareness and knowledge of global issues through discussion and debate on a versatile range of topics, with the common objective of promoting quality dialogue on various world issues, the freedom of expression, and most importantly, the United Nations’ founding principles.

 

In a world rife with conflicts and divergent ideologies, we often overlook the significance of dialogue as a catalyst for diplomacy. Now our 8th iteration, ISMUNHK serves as a platform for aspiring global leaders, diplomats and change-makers to engage in fruitful conversation -- envisioning to elevate diplomacy and dialogue. Throughout all its iterations, ISMUNHK remains true to its vision that all students, no matter their background or their ability, should be given equal opportunities to be involved in international affairs.
